Savory Sundays: frozen fruit snack

I'm always looking for good snacks for my girls, so when I saw this on Everyday Food I instantly wanted to try it. It's something simple to put together, enticing and healthy. All you need is grapes and bananas.

Get about two cups worth of red seedless grapes and green seedless grapes. You could probably get away with four cups of one if that's what you've got but the colors I think add to this snack. You'll also need two bananas.

Cut up the bananas and place them along with the grapes on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Freeze it for at least an hour. I think I left mine in for more than a day.

Then, just put them in some resealable sandwich bags.

Now, that's probably too much fruit for my girls to have in one serving. Regardless, it's already gone over quite well. I can just grab them out of the freezer, let them have however much they want and put whatever's left back in the freezer... or have a bit myself. Best of all, it's all fruit, all tasty and all healthy.

What a great idea! I use frozen bananas in smoothies, but never thought to actually just EAT them! My daughter's going through a fruitoholic phase, so I think she'll like these! Thanks!
